We get it. Catering can be a big decision. We know you have questions and we’ve got answers for you.
While we don’t offer specific referral to a caterer, we can help you connect with one of our partners who can provide you a quote for your food and beverage service. Where applicable, we have added links to the online menus which may help you with your decision on whom to use.
The short answer is: It depends.
Many factors go into a catering quote including type of food served, plated versus buffet style, china and linens versus paper plates and plastic utensils, labor needed to staff the event and more. We’ve seen our clients catering packages range from $15 to $80 per person.
We recommend speaking with our partners about your budget, format of your event and what type of food you would like to serve. They can guide you on where you can save and help you stay with in your budget for the event you are planning.
To join our roster, caterers must provide us a copy of their business license, off-premise catering permit, liability insurance certificate and pay a small fee when they handle a job on site. This protects not only the Carousel, but also the client and ensures you are working with a culinary professional.
While we only allow approved partners in the building for catering events, you can have your caterer contact our sales department about becoming an approved catering partner a minimum of 30 days prior to your event.
Absolutely. All of our catering partners work closely with our clients to build custom menus that match your tastes, theme, and dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free. Just be sure to communicate your needs early in the planning process.
We recommend booking as soon as you select your event date, especially for large events and around peak seasons, such as holidays. For smaller gatherings, 4-6 weeks in advance is usually enough time. Sometimes they can handle last minute requests if their schedule permits it.
The caterer will need to know your event date, what time you would like food service to begin and end, anticipated number of guests, budget range and general idea of the types of foods you would like to serve.
Yes, all of our catering partners offer bar services with a licensed bartender and customizable drink menus, including beer and wine. Bar services requires a minimum food purchase as well. Inquire with your caterer if they permit you to provide your own liquor. Bar service also requires a separate alcohol service agreement from the carousel and must be signed by the client.
